Moving up through the ranks in Farmville requires leveling up. This doesn’t have to be as difficult as some people may make it out to be. It can be done effectively without the use of cheats, massive crops, and you won’t have to go on a ribbon frenzy. What you will need is consistency and a solid strategy. Get this right and you will sneak past your friends levels without skipping a beat.

Leveling up is all about the XP and getting coin. The quicker you can get these, the faster you can level up. One of the easiest ways to do this is by earning ribbons. Two ribbons worth noting for this are the “Good Samaritan” and the “Local Celebrity.” To get your Local Celebrity achievement, you can simply get 50 friends to become your neighbors. Just ask your current friends on Facebook to join in the fun.

Don’t have enough to get you there? You can also make new friends on Farmville discussion boards. You will find forums and groups all over the web who all share the same love of the game as you do. It can be easy to strike up a conversation with your fellow enthusiasts and grab a handful of new neighbors in no time. You’ll also have a lot of fun doing it.

Now that you’ve got your neighbors in order, you can easily knock out that “Good Samaritan” ribbon. Just go around to your friends and help them out when they need it. Do it enough and you can get 600 XP as well as 36,000 coins. It’s a quick way to really level up.

Keep a watchful eye in the Farmville news feed section on what activities your friends are posting. Occasionally someone puts word in that there is a pet that needs to be adopted. When you adopt two pets you will be in possession of the “Animal Shelter” ribbon. This makes for three easy ribbons you can get without much effort at all.

While you can continue on to knock out all the ribbons, a mixed strategy works best. Part of your plan should focus on crops you can harvest.

Don’t forget that different rewards are given for the different crops you produce. Realize that not all the crops are going to be worth your time and effort. For example artichokes give you the lowest return in coins and XP for your investment. Let others waste time with these low end commodities while you reap the benefits offered from strawberries, blueberries, and tomatoes, just to name a few.

The above mentioned crops, like the berries for example, will give you much larger returns on your coin within the shortest amount of time possible. This means you can cycle the process over and over, investing back into the seed and harvesting faster and faster.

The faster you are able to replant, the quicker you get XP, and the faster you can level up. You can also make other purchases at the right time that will kick you up to the next level. If you are short 100 XP to reach the next level, go ahead and splurge on some hay bales which can give you 5 XP a pop. they are cheap and buying them this way can be a real time saver.
